December 30th, 2011 Comments off

There are many things that people use in order to try and stop smoking. We all know of the usual devices such as patches, chewing gum, medicines and nicotine replacement therapy: these are all things that various people use in order to help them to stop.

These are all used to help cure people of their addiction.

But what can help you overcome this mindset?

Many things such as those devices are a great way to do so! But something that is growing in popularity is hypnotherapy.

It is a fantastic way to help you overcome this addiction and Marisa says that everything comes down to the subconscious and conscious power of the mind.

Did you know that 97 percent of our actions are in fact controlled by our subconscious? Hypnotherapy will work on the subconscious and steer it away from the habit you can’t seem to drag yourself away from!

You should also try setting yourself some goals. Or how about you set yourself a date and write it down so that you don’t continue to mentally delay taking that first step?

Acupuncture treatment is also very helpful as it focuses on changing the taste of cigarettes.

What happens when you stop smoking?

It’s an age-old question but many of us still seem to be unsure of what actually happens after we stop.

Firstly, what happens when you stop smoking is that you will save a lot of money! And on top of this, you’ll be much healthier… so you can also enjoy that saved money along with your healthier lifestyle!

When you stop, your skin will become brighter as it is no longer being deprived of oxygen and it will appear younger. Your energy levels also begin to rise and will continue to rise for as long as you stop and you’ll find it easier to breath!

Smoking doesn’t just affect you, the smoker, but it affects those around you too. Once you stop smoking you are no longer harming yourself or those around you with second hand smoke. So what happens when you stop smoking is that you not only benefit yourself but you get to benefit the lives of others!

It’s Time to Stop Smoking

December 30th, 2011 Comments off

With the New Year just around the corner it is the ideal time to stop smoking and reclaim your health. However thinking about stopping smoking and actually stopping smoking are two different things and for the majority of smokers giving up cigarettes is one of the most difficult things that they will ever do and their attempts often result in one failed attempt after another.

This is not uncommon and if you were to ask most ex-smokers they would tell you that they needed to try a number of times or use a variety of different methods and products before they finally succeeded and reached their goal of being a non-smoker.

So however difficult or frustrating you find stopping smoking the battle is always worthwhile and with enough attempts yourself the goal of being a non-smoker can be reached and once you succeed you will notice quickly some of the benefits that come from stopping smoking.

One of the first things many people notice once they have stopped smoking is an improvement in their sense of taste and smell. Within just a few days you will probably be able to identify smokers just by their smell and understand how bad smokers smell to non smokers and your sense of taste will improve and food will taste better than you ever imagined.

More important than the improvement in your senses of taste and smell is the rapid improvement you will see in overall health and energy levels as your body begins the process of undoing the damage down through out the years from smoking. For many long-term smokers it is the first time in years that they can climb a flight of stairs or engage in any other physical activity without wheezing and coughing and over time the risk of serious and life threatening disease will also decrease.

Finally on top of the health benefits you will also be surprised at the money you save each month and will have the money to spend on yourself or your family. But first you have to decide that its time to stop smoking.

So make the decision and decide on the method you will use to quit smoking cigarettes. For some smokers it’s simply quitting smoking cold turkey while for others its with the use of nicotine replacement therapy in the form of the nicotine patch or nicotine gum. Yet others choose hypnotherapy, acupuncture or prescription medication to help them quit smoking.

Quitting Smoking and the Benefits of Accountability

December 30th, 2011 Comments off

Quitting smoking is a major challenge and many people try to do it alone because they are fearful of others judging them if they fail. The truth is most people who quit smoking require several attempts to do so and by having the proper support group or an accountability partner can greatly increase your chances of successfully quitting.

When choosing an accountability partner there are several options; friends, family or other quitters are great choices. Friends and family are easy to trust and communicate feelings, thoughts and beliefs too while fellow quitters understand more of what you are going through. Whoever you decide on they should be fair, understanding and firm. Choose someone you feel comfortable talking with and trustworthy.

By finding a person to help hold you accountable you add a new line of defense when quitting smoking. After quitting you will be faced with feelings, thoughts and desires urging you to give up and smoke. The voice in your head urging you to smoke “just one” can be very convincing at times, especially on those days when nothing seems to go right. Having a person to call gives you a chance to calm down and let the craving pass. Cravings tend to pass quickly if you change your focus.

Quitting smoking requires honesty, with yourself and your accountability partner. If you aren’t honestly trying to quit and you don’t tell your partner when you have slipped you aren’t utilizing their help. Instead you will continue to hide your failed attempts which could lead to a total relapse.

Guilt and fear of failure are common among people trying to quit smoking but the key is to not give up. You won’t need an accountability partner forever and the more time you get under your belt not smoking the less you will require their assistance. You could be saving your life, in the least you are adding years to it and improving the quality of life you now live. Don’t be shy or ashamed to ask for help, most people get great satisfaction from helping others.

Properly preparing yourself to quit smoking will pay off in the end and remember, you don’t have to do it alone. Increase your odds of success by getting the support you need to successfully quit smoking and stay quit. Replace the guilt and fear of quitting with determination and imagine how great your life will be when you finally take back control and break your smoking addiction.

How to Get a More Abundant Life

December 30th, 2011 Comments off

“There seems to be a mystery or secret to achieving a Better Life Ahead of where I am now”. Is this a statement you affirm on a daily basis? Certainly we all have occasions in our lives when we just cannot seem to move forward or improve our lot. Why do others enjoy success after success, acquiring health, wealth and happiness along the way? Why do they have a Better Life than you? Is there a great secret that just isn’t known to the majority of us?

In days gone by, only the wealthy, privileged and powerful were privy to the secrets to a happy and abundant life with the lifestyle that afforded. This meant subjugation for the majority and no means of progressing to anything other than what they had always known. This subjugation meant a focus on all that they lacked with no hope of gaining what they wanted. If only they had known that a more abundant lifestyle was within their grasp – but for the want of a little knowledge and a simple application of basic principles.

The truth of the matter, according to some, is that there is a secret. A secret that has been known for centuries but known only to a select few. A select few that is, until now.

Now everyone has access to the knowledge of how to harness the most powerful Universal force to ensure that they have all that they would desire. This basic element is the Law of Attraction and has proven to work time after time after time. Acquiring the skill to harness the Law of Attraction takes time and guidance but is within every persons ability. This has be demonstrated early last century with the publication of The Master Key by Charles F. Haanel, The Secret of the Ages by Robert Collier and more recently by the video film, The Secret.

But surely this is just fanciful and idle daydreaming, wishing instead of doing. I would have agreed wholeheartedly with you one time of day, but not since having studied the previously mentioned tomes plus other similar works. All of them specify very simple, enriching and relaxing exercises to develop the ability to harness the Law of Attraction. In increasing amounts, I can personally vouch for improved circumstances by applying the principles that they advocate, and I have no reason to believe that this will stop anytime soon.
